Naturocity: The art of loving natureI have been following your nature photography blog for a while now, you have some amazing shots and all are top quality.
Photographs, tips and more
Your site is top notch as far as the main elements go, I have been looking into scraping my photo blog and starting one with the one of the shutter themes layouts.
One thing you are missing in the top portion of the page(what the visitor sees first) is an RSS subscription button. Check out Feedburner to burn a feed for your site. There's also a bunch of navigation links in the bottom right hand side that you might want to reorganize into a flat line.
You could try moving your recommended reading to the sidebar to even things out. You have a bunch of posts on the front page which may seem overwhelming to some readers. Try showing three or four posts on the first page. With just a few posts on the front page it helps reduce clutter but still lets the visitor find something they connect with.
One thing that really helps draw new and quality readers in is posting on other blogs in the same category. Try to create a bookmark list or RSS list in your reader of choice(I use google reader) and make a habit of commenting on popular and theme related blogs.

Thanks for the review! This is my first blog, and I really appreciate your insight.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely take your ideas and implement them as quickly as I can.

No problem, I have gotten a few ideas from looking at your photography as well, so we'll call it even.
